It has been a while since i blog about FOOD…
bleh… with all my time turned upside down… who have time to think about food?
luckily, the balance of nature had since been restored recently… so here’s the comeback of the lousy food critic!~
Today' is my beloved sister’s birthday… so we (me and my parents) went out for dinner!
her 23rd birthday… WAH! Damn old!
Dinner spot tonight: Dragon-i @ Jusco Bukit Tinggi
No. They don’t serve dragon there. They serve Chinese cuisine.
Stewed Peanuts as their titbits… kinda dry here… RM2 for a small plate wtf
Winter Melon Longan and Herbal Tea… RM5 and RM2 respectively… The winter melon is ok provided they have give big chunk of the winter melon instead of slices… however, still a rip off for RM5… =x
Lohan Beancurd… one of their promotional item there in their RM1 daily menu… hence the price of RM1! XD
i like how they cook the mushroom and vegetables just nice… however the beancurd is downright disappointing (overfried)… and the juice is simply tasteless… >.<
not bad for an RM1 item, though…
The ramen is good!!! it’d be better if it is more chewy (haha!) however, the beef is too dry and overcooked… and the soup is so oily!! Though i must emphasis on the ramen which is really good! XD
Their main dish in the restaurant… It'd been said that it’s the second best shanghai dumpling (siew long pao) in Malaysia after Ding Tai Foong… which they had certainly live up to the reputation! It is seriously good, with the dumpling nicely wrap (but easy to bocor… boo) and the soup and meat blended together nicely… it’d be better if it is served when hot… XD olala~
XO Sauce Fried Carrot Cake, RM12
Not bad for a fried carrot cake… but i prefer the more heavy flavoured one in hawker stall… some food are just not meant to be served by commercialized chain restaurant >.<
Another of their recommended food… which is alright… served with pork lard oil and chicken… the chicken is okay… but i don’t like the dish… not my kind of dish when it’s all oily >.<
All in all, a stomach filling but not the most satisfying meal… save for the shanghai dumpling XD

After the dinner, we went shopping… separately… mom went cloths digging, dad went performance watching and i went to the bookstore~
Pit stop after all the shopping
3 flavoured banana split: Macadamia Nut Brittle, Dark Chocolate Orange and Rum Raisin~
promotional vouchers from haagen-dazs
time to head home <3

Let’s see what i bought just now…
bought a new CD in the bookstore ^^
This is a chinese album by JK Chen 陈家凯, a new upcoming and promising local artist which rose to fame 5 years ago but had only released his debut album recently… I love his single 呐喊!
