Yes. Let me make it official. I KNOW how to make sushi!!~

Though, I only know how to make the most basic type of maki sushi XD

And here’s a tutorial on how to make maki sushi! It’s really simple! =D

Step 1: Prepare all your ingredients

 
Here’s the basics: Nori (Seaweed), Rice, Vinegar, Mayonnaise and Soy sauce.

Step 2: Cook the rice

The Japanese rice (not the normal “beras cap rambutan” from grocery shop) must be washed several time in order to get rid of the smell of rice. Wash around 10 times should be sufficient.

Step 3: Prepare the inner fillings

I am suppose to use bigger prawn, but heck, it’s for my own consuming and it’s just some random lunch. So the normal small prawn will do for me.

So here I’ve made some raw cucumber, fried egg and deep fried prawn. Yummy~

Step 4: Accidently drop all the fillings on the floor

This step is optional. But it was suppose to create excuses for me to skip Contract class the next day.

Step 5: Mix the rice with vinegar while hot, let cool

This step is to give the rice that sourly flavour, as well as letting it cold down before rolling. Rice could only be rolled when cold.

Step 6: Spread the rice evenly on the Nori

 

Step 7: Put all your ingredient onto the rice horizontally

Step 8: Roll it and cut it!

The outcome will be something like this…

TADA!

Looks quite gross right? It’s all mayo layered on the sushi

nevertheless, it tasted nice! =D

I am certainly confident that this would be the speech of the prime minister 50 years later.

Well, you can’t really blame him/her/it you know? Everyone’s there waiting just for the fireworks. If he/she/it were to drag in more speeches and ‘merdeka’s, everyone will start to throw stones at him/her/it. The logic behind this is simple: People nowadays are just not that into the Merdeka celebration as it used to be.

Don't believe what I've said? Here’s an experiment that you can conduct on your own. Ask a teenager what is the real meaning of Merdeka, and see how they would reply. If you could find a teenager that answers “Merdeka is a special day for us to celebrate the independence of Malaya (not Malaysia) from the Britain”, you had either encountered a teenager who had just completed his/her moral assignment, or you had encountered a teenager that has a naggy old grandpa. But most of the time, you will be back-questioned, “why ask such silly question???”

If you are still not satisfied, here’s another experiment that you can conduct. Get a box of Jalur Gemilang (and in case you don’t know, Jalur Gemilang is our national flag’s official name), those kind that you can stick onto the roof of your car. Then, distribute it to some college student who’s driving their own luxury cars to college. If you can spot ANY of them sticking the flag onto their car, you can definitely make a conclusion that you’re in a deep sleep and you’re dreaming. FIND AN ALARM CLOCK AND WAKE UP ALREADY!!!

Some of them will clarify that they couldn’t afford to stick the flag on their car as it will damage the car’s painting, and that their parents will scold them if they saw a flag on their car. “Ah Boy ah, why put a flag on your car??? It looks so stupid and so patriotic! Later if let our neighbour Aunty Suzie sees, then I’ll die la. She will tell everyone in pasar later. Faster take the flag off!”

Why celebrates Merdeka? People are just too lackadaisical about the struggle that our ancestors faced before, the struggle to achieve independence; the struggle of our past leaders to take the risk of boarding an old ship to London, and Malaya Airway (say what?) back from negotiations for independence. Hey! That’s a big risk you know! Some screws might got loosen and the plane might crash! But our ex-ex-ex-ex-ex prime minister chooses to take the risk for the sake of our country! That should be a valid reason for us to celebrate Merdeka!

Another reason for us to celebrate Merdeka is because it is a public holiday. The government had always (and will always) set the 31st of August as a public holiday. We should at least show some appreciation by giving us our support in any Merdeka related events. But we won’t want to take part in Jalur Gemilang colouring contests organized by some nutritious drink manufacturing company, so we can at least stand at the dataran merdeka to make some noise, heats up the environment and have free fireworks show.

So next time we heard someone saying: “Just because I’m too shy to say it, doesn’t mean that I don’t love my country, ok? I still know how to sing negara aku and I know who is Lee Chong Wei! He’s the one who went up to the space to promote the delicious batik to some extraterrestrial! ”, we know that we are still in the hype of celebrating Merdeka.

为什么种族分裂会随着时间而加深呢？

我还记得我姑姑在一次晚餐
她的孩子有点顽皮
一直蹦蹦跳跳的
我姑姑不耐烦
就吓他：
“不要跑来跑去，不然隔壁座的abunene会捉掉你的噢!”
孩子就静静的坐着了
我一眼看过去
天啊！原来abunene的意思就是指隔壁桌的印裔同胞！

试想想，孩子们自小就被父母灌输了不正确的友族概念
孩子长大后会怎样呢？

 

希望我们真的能够从“种族分类”的框框里跳出来
别再用有色眼光去看待身边的人
管他妈的以前某某友族做了些什么，忘了它吧

The day had finally arrived, the day we worship the holy donuts had our July Intake Orientation!

the pink (omg! pink!) group who represents the Strawberry Filled donut

and the yellow group who represents the Creamy Filled donut

Wonder why do they wear according these specific colours? Well, let’s flashback to the good old days:

The worshipping ceremony starts with a golden torch running through the venue of course. And we are glad to have BC to do it for us.

After running around the DSA area, under the chicken theme song, he passes the torch and sticks up the Holy Mother of all Donuts to the wall

After the opening ceremony, the first game we had is passing around the ping pong ball with a spoon, which signifies our willingness to do the same with our homework (passing around) for the upcoming one year time.

 

 

Contrary to the committee’s believe, there nothing much exciting here, everyone did it with ease. This leads to our nervousness as everybody seems to show us the “hmmp! is this the best you can do to us?” face.

Just like how primary school teachers did it, we ask everyone to stand on their chair!

For the very first time, i'm blogging from a computer which is not my laptop...

I'm now in university's library, using their very slow and Trojan infected computers to post this very post you're reading now.

So if you read this, you computer were hijacked by those fucking Trojans XD

just kidding

the reason i write this post is because i'm too tired from reading cases for assignments

i tried to rest my head on the table, but immediately my body got out of control and my whole body was paralyzed, except for my finger of right hand

i know i am not sleeping, i am clearly awake and i can even do calculus at that point of time (lol) but my body just won't listen to me...

and then, while paralyzed, i heard songs from circus (not the Circus by Britney Spears, circus as in real circus with clowns, elephant and stuff) and i saw many colours in random sequences...

this happen everytime i sleep at night nowadays

scary huh...

i guess it has to do with all the stress XD

oh well, can't slack for that long... gotta go back to read cases... chaoz

p.s: anyone wanna treat me good food? i'll be stress free by then XD

Hi guys… wanna meet my classmates?

 

It have been one and a half month since the whole bunch of animals from Africa class studied together, roaring and screeching over assignments and replacement classes… As expected from a professional law student, we study really, REALLY hard!!!

 
SEE? we’re really hardworking studying here

So one fine day, from all the stresses and tortures, someone by the name of ‘Mary had a little lame’ came out with her most brilliant idea she ever had:

DONUT!

No. She’s not hungry or anything, she’s just being herself.

So we started to plan for a ceremony in order to worship the newly-found-holy donut.

We called the event “July Intake Orientation” in order to hide our insanity from the other intake / programme. The camouflage goes very well that we even succeeded in getting ourselves a venue at the student affair department!

 
so the worshiper committee worked hard in order to assure that everything goes smooth and hippy
