For the first few day, our tour guide had told us NOT to buy any souvenir at the touring place we went… because their price are highly marked up to “get a fortune for CNY”…

but not today!~ because we went to Jiu Fen (九份)

taking a public bus in Taiwan

Well… not really a public bus, but a special bus just to drop visitor to and from jiu fen because the route to that place is narrow.

why is this place called 九份 (nine portion)? Apparently, a very long long time ago… this place is resided by only 9 families… so whenever one person need to go out to the town to buy their daily needs, he/she needs to buy 9 portion… hence the name…

but i reckon with such amount of visitors everyday, it must be more than 9 families living there now.

and this place is THE place to get all the souvenir we wanna to get so badly… they’re cheaper compared to other tourist spot…

after all the crazy shopping and delicious treats, we head for SPA.

well… actually it’s not spa if you ask… it’s more like hot spring area for us to rest from all the tiring walking in the past few days!

there are various types of hot spring to choose from… there’s the one with herb… lavender… ginseng… etc etc? I went for the milk hot spring cause it’s good for my skin!~

after the nice hot spring treat… we went for more shopping at Ximending (西门町)

on our way to Ximending, i realized something…

holy crap! It’s 10 degree celsius outside and i’m left with nothing but a normal T-Shirt! (and jeans la of course)… so the first thing i do when i reach Ximending is…

I’ve got NT$3000 left in my wallet, and since it’s the last day at Taiwan, it’s crazy shopping spree!~

Ximending is refered as the “Harajuka of Taipei”… with all the in-trend (and weird) fashion and accessories sold here…

Then we headed for dinner… and my parents were *beep* when they saw my new look…

i now have a mini-me!~ lol

After dinner, i joined my mom for even more shopping, and she bought me 2 new shirt and a nice silver necklace… great additional to my accessories!~

please focus on the necklace, not the mushroom hair, thanks.

since we shopped until late night, our tour bus had already went home for a rest, so we take cab to get back to our hotel that night…

the taxi driver with the “sexy voice”, just like the one in Cameron Highland.

let’s see what i’ve gained from today’s shopping!~

As some of you already know, I've gotten myself a new job at ym's place! Since it's a serious workplace, i figure i shall get some formal office wear. So me and mom went for a shopping yesterday at Aeon, Bukit Tinggi.

The first place he headed to once we reach the mall, is Kinsahi!~


They changed their menu cover!

having previous nice experiences in this restaurant, we expect nothing less from them... but...

today's kinda disappointing for us..


una jyu (unagi rice bento), RM25.90

the unagi is great, but the rice is just... dry... and hard...?


gintara nabe, RM23.90.

the fish is fresh, but the soup and udon is just so so... yet they charge RM23.90 for such a small portion?


kaki miso yaki (cheese oyster), RM16.90

the oyster is good, the best dish among all...

...but here comes the main killer


beef enoki roll, RM18.90

the sauces and the beef is NOT matching at all, the sauce tasted like pure butter (eww), and the beef is just too OLD. Guess it's cooked for too long.

Not the best dining experience ever, but i shall come back next time, just to make sure i order their signature dish of Dragon Roll!~


While having my lunch, i ss-ed and realised something serious.

I FORGOT TO WAX MY HAIR!

OMG! how can i go shop with such a MUSHROOM hair?


everybody will thought that I've escaped from the mario game.

so i ask mom to bring me to saloon for some emergency hairdo.


before the hairdo. told ya i looked like mushroom when i've not waxed my hair.

while my mom have her hair washed, i got my hair cut too.


nice in my opinion, lala in my mom's opinion.

now i can go for shopping!~

me and mom walked the whole mall, tried several working attire.


nice shirt, too bad there's no cutting for the waist

so, after 3 hour walking and searching, i managed to bought only one working attire that doesn't make me look like an uncle or business man. (show you all the shirt next time i ss)

then, we went for ice cream

3 flavour: green tea, boysenberry and chocolate. awesome ice cream!~


more and more food reason to make me fat!

then, we continued shopping and i bought 2 more stuff:

Nice album, catchy song, and most of all, it's "hidden message" in one of the song, "If U Seek Amy". Totally cool!

no, not this one, but i lazy to take picture...

my previous goggles was spoilt because it's too old, water would went into the glass and it makes my eyes swell.

Mom never bought anything today, so i was the one who's spending all the money while she's paying. so she deserves a ss-pic with me. wuakaka.


TQ mommy, i shall pay for my own stuff when i turn 21.

Now that i've bought my office wear, i shall wear it to work, in style!

After a long rest from the crowded night market previous night, we woke at 6.30, get ready for breakfast.

Apparently, the 2 worker who's serving us breakfast is a couple of lovebirds.

both of them are speaking in such low volume, but yet laugh so loudly and sweetly, it kinda reminds me of Valentine...

After the breakfast, we left to Taipei!~ The first thing we do in Taipai is visiting the Nation Palace Museum of Taiwan （国立故宫博物院）.

AHHHHHH!!! how come? because we aren't allow to take picture in the museum!

There are two "must see" item of this museum, the two item that keeps the museum running till this day... which we rushed to that display room, only to discover that the best stuff in Taiwan is still FOOD. Because...

*Must see item #1* Cabbage


The "Jadeite Cabbage", crafted with one single piece of jadeite with various shades and degree of colors, looked just like a real cabbage, except... much smaller. XD

Summore, there's an insect on the leave of cabbage... cute!

*Must see item #2* (Very Fat) Pork!


Again, using a single piece of jasper stone and crafted to look like a piece of pork cooked in soy sauces

Yes, it's all about food in Taiwan.

Anyway, with such delicious looking pork feasted our eyes, it's time to feast our stomach as well... so we went to our restaurant for lunch...

and when we arrived, we're like:

"har? i thought we're going for lunch? why bring us to another museum?"











but i must admit, this museum look more "artistic" than the previous one...

then we realized, this IS a restaurant!





this restaurant is also known as "restaurant to take photo", i mean, with such artistic interior, who would resisted not to take photo?


not only the restaurant look nice, they serves good food too!

after lunch, we went to the Taiwan's version of Tugu Negara:


the palace where all honorable had their name recorded




except that our Tugu Negara doesn't have real-life guard like this.

The guard there stood for their duty for one hour, without moving a single inch!


Just like the royal guard of UK.

Every one hour, they would having this simple marching stuff to exchange shift.

after the whole marching ceremony ends (it took around 15-20 minute?), we went to one of the main attraction of Taipei...


Taipei 101, the highest skycrapper in the world

Just like our very own KLCC, the bottom of Taipei 101 is actually a high-end shopping mall, selling stuff that kids and teenager aren't afford to buy...

Nothing special with Taipei 101... I would say that Suria KLCC is better!

Yes. it's time for food (dinner) again... so we went to one of the most famous chain restaurant selling xiao long pao...

Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) is one of the largest night market in Taiwan, having distributed to 3 main street... so we'd expect to have some larger space to walk...


but i was wrong! it was even crowded than yesterday!






one of the reason is because it's CNY, most of the people are having holiday, so they would set up *illegel* stalls to sell stuff, making the road more congested (with their newly added stalls) and created a massive human jam!

me and my mom had walked a small part of the street and it took one whole hour just to move around... so we gave up and return to the gather point...

which appears to be a food court!
