Why in the world would a man frame himself for murder?
It seems like a great movie. The title itself shouts out loud to me. “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” is actually a legal term used in distinct the prove of burden. For example, in order to prove a person of the conviction of murder, the prosecutor must have bring forward evidence that it clear, unvague which are able to show that the accused had commit murder almost certainly.
Oops. Why am i teaching law of evidence ahh? =.=
As interesting as it seems, I've gotten myself 2 tickets for the movie’s premiere screening. But the problem is… nobody wanna go with me!!! T.T
So i called up aunty siyan and zach.
aunty siyan! long time no see!!! XD
very shy Zach over here.
We met up at mid valley and went ahead to have our dinner in Little Taiwan.
my Braised Beef Noodle, RM11.90
aunty siyan’s Tang Tang Noodle, RM9.90
Before the movie, we went to the arcade for some fun and stress releasing session. I was playing that drum thingy and i was DAMN furious over something at that time. So I am technically abusing the drum. LOL.
Zach with his para-para dance sequence.
time for some movie!~ it had been almost 1 month since i last stepped into a cinema.
in Hollywood, everything is in Technicolor!
Eventually i got the seat with siyan at the very left corner. So call couple seat.
Alright. Back to the movie.
This is Martin Hunter, portrayed by the Emmy, Golden Globe and 2 time Academy Award winning Michael Douglas.
Hunter is a District Attorney who seems to have a very high profile, winning 17 cases of murder convictions in a string (and built his rising political reputation at the same time). Something fishy in here? You bet! This lead to suspicion by a local news reporter C.J. Nicholas.
Oh by the way, this is C.J. Nicholas:
The hot gardener from Desperate Housewives had a new job as a news reporter now! Portrayed by Jesse Metcalfe.
Oh btw, he’s also the John Tucker from John Tucker Must Die.
In order to find out the dirty little secret of Hunter, he decided to do something investigation on his own. With the help of his cute face and electrifying eyes, he manage to get close to the rising young attorney in Hunter's office, Ella Crystal, portrayed by Amber Tamblyn.
Could anyone possibly tell me why in the world all the ladies working in a law firm are so good looking?
With her help, C.J. managed to get a little clue, but merely enough to get himself demoted in his career. So, he decided to go for the last resort: frame himself in a murder scene, get himself convicted with murder, and prove that Hunter (the fishy old man) is falsifying evidence in order to win all the 17 cases.
All in all, I would say that this is a pretty decent movie. The storyline is okay, acting is good, and the thrill is not too much for me to handle. But what me and siyan like the most is the twist of the storyline at the end. Not the very typical ending you see in everyday life.
And btw, i love how Amber Tamblyn says the “F*** You” as the last line in the movie.
Rating: 7 out of 10 from me =D
Here’s the trailer if you had missed it in my previous post:
